187 A QUALITATIVE EXPLORATION OF PLACE AND PERSONHOOD IN DEMENTIA

Abstract Background In dementia research, supporting personhood is seen as a corner stone of person-centred care. However, little understood about how conceptualised in the context home and communities that people living with reside within, place may constitute key dimension of, or determining factor someone’s sense self. This study seeks to explore these relationships by examining intersection between through lens Rowles (1983) work on personal identity old age. Methods Qualitative secondary analysis datasets from two separate studies was conducted. The first examined perspectives across life course, while second formal total, 15 interviews were analysed using theoretical framework analysis. Results Participants reflected meaning place, its iterative relationship course.
